Ténemba Anna Samaké has 19 years of experience in business development and SME financing (Bank, Microfinance and impact investment) in West Africa. Ténemba believes that rural entrepreneurship is the solution in creating jobs for African youth, reduce food insecurity and alleviate poverty on the continent.
She has developed an extensive network of partners that support Micros, Small and Medium Enterprises in accessing to financing, through product development, funding schemes and network building. Ténemba is pioneer in angel investment in Mali and Ghana as she contributed in the creation of two angel investors’ club in Mali and an all ladies angel network in Ghana (Africa Lady Angels).
Ténemba is since August 2012 Lundin Foundation’s Portfolio Manager for West and Central Africa. The Lundin Foundation is Lundin Foundation (LF) is the philanthropic arm of the Lundin Group of Companies and was founded in 2005 by the Lundin family with a view to contributing toward improvements in the lives of Africa’s most impoverished and vulnerable populations. Through a mixture of grants and impact investments, LF supports innovative, high-impact initiatives that enable sustainable agricultural livelihoods and support SME development across sub-Saharan Africa. Anna Manages Foundation’s equity, debt and grant portfolio in 8 countries (2 sub-regions).
She coordinates MBC program since October 2015. Mobile Business Clinic (MBC) is an affordable and convenient management training program for CEOs and managers in small medium sized agribusinesses across Côte d’Ivoire and Ghana. MBC provides practical management training, access to local business leaders, business networks, finance and other essential tools necessary to business growth. MBC is a joint venture of Canadian Development Agency (Global Affairs Canada), Engineers without Borders Canada and Lundin Foundation.
Ténemba Anna Samaké holds a MBA from Quebec University in Montreal and has a Master’s Degree in Private Law from National Administration School, Mali. She is candidate for a Doctorate in Business Administration.
Ténemba speaks fluently French and English and understands Spanish.
Eric is an Author, an investor and entrepreneur. He is a business author with focus on entrepreneurship and investment, some of his books includes ‘’Principles of Successful Entrepreneurs’’ which was given a special mention in the JCI member achievers newsletter in South Africa.’’ Investing through Crisis in Africa’’ with foreword by Dr. Amichia Biley former West Africa regional director of the German Investment Bank DEG. Migration &amp;amp;amp; Entrepreneurship and the newly ‘’Doing Business in Ghana’’
He also worked with German International Cooperation; Market Oriented Agricultural Programme (GIZ -MOAP), where he supported the Value chain financing component of the programme linking farmer based organizations to rural banks within the five programme regions of Ghana i.e. Accra, Cape Coast, Tamale, Ho and Sunyani
Eric worked with the Diaspora Business Centre (DBC) a migrant organization which connect and support return migrants with the necessary business and entrepreneurial skills and link them up with the relevant government institutions like the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre, the Diaspora Bureau Affairs under the ministry of foreign affairs and other business development servicers bodies who have the desire of setting up a business enterprises upon their return to Ghana.
Eric has a background in Marketing and social entrepreneurship. He co-founded the African German Youth Dialogue in partnership with the Goethe Institute, Accra which later rebranded ‘Language Meets Culture’ which brought Ghanaian and German counterparts together on one platform to discuss issues of mutual interest. He is an alumina of the Young Expert Programme (YEP), a partnership programme between the Netherlands Water Partnership and the Dutch Foreign Ministry.
Mrs. Dorcas Borley Ablorh Mensah is currently the finance officer for MBC Africa. She served as an Accounts Officer/ Customer Care officer at Adra Ghana Microfinance and was involved in the implementation of general accounting policies and guidelines as well as creating cordial relationship with the clients.
Dorcas obtained her first degree B.Sc. Accounting option from the University of Professional Studies, Accra, Ghana (2008 – 2012) and holds a Diploma in Business studies (DBS) from the University of Professional Studies, Accra.
She is currently pursuing distance study in MBA International Business from Amity University coordinated by the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).
She is the Project Assistant for MBC Africa and brings on board exceptional administrative assistance and support to the whole Team. Ophelia also acts as Executive Secretary for MBC Club.
Ophelia is a graduate from MBC Africa’s Young Fellowship Program (YFP) and she holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Integrated Business Studies from University for Development Studies.
